Founder and CEO
Most capital strategies look sound on paper but very few survive real markets.
Over the past three decades, I’ve lived and worked in 7 countries. While based in New York and Hong Kong working at JPMorgan Chase I developed my capital markets skills.
Post the Asian Financial Crisis, I worked with the Government of Malaysia, Government of Indonesia and the Government of Philippines, on capital raising, investor relations and debt management programs. These skills also included how to work and deal with situations of volatility in markets, that set me up for my entire career.
Alongside traditional capital markets, I have been closely involved in sustainable and blended finance initiatives, where capital must serve both financial and developmental outcomes.
This has included:
→ Structured and led over $100 billion in capital transactions across 16 markets and currencies, including several first-of-their-kind deals globally.
→ Structuring financing across microfinance, SMEs, women-led initiatives, and education sectors.
→ Designing approaches that enable different classes of investors to participate within a single capital framework.
→ Contributing to early-stage thinking around blended finance models and capital mobilisation.
I was invited, through SIDA (the Swedish Development Agency), to contribute to the OECD’s work on blended finance for sustainable development, providing practitioner insights on making these structures work in real markets.
I have also led a digital initiative in sustainable finance; a platform designed to connect borrowers and investors.
This was recognised through an internal bank shark tank and taken to MVP, with a dedicated technology team.
Today, through my work with Avenia Partners (UAE) and The Ace Group, UAE, I focus on:
→ Helping institutions access and structure capital raising programs.
→ Representing global entities entering and expanding in the Middle East, South Asia & Southeast Asia.
→ Advising on complex, multi-stakeholder interests.
→ Bridging public, private, and development capital.
